Bobby Baxter
Forties manager Bobby Baxter BAXTER, BOBBY: Born Gilmerton, Edinburgh. Scottish international footballer (11 caps) who played for Middlesbrough, Hibs and Hearts, captaining the latter, and later managed Leith Athletic who shared Old Meadowbank with Monarchs. A speedway follower at Marine Gardens, he became 'Track Manager' (a sort of General + Team Manager) in June 1948 and retained the post in 1949.
