The stars of 1995. For the 1995 season, the previous top two divisions of the British League joined together, which meant that most of the world's stars would be visiting Powderhall. It proved to be one of our most enjoyable years as our solid side held its own and we saw a feast of good racing every week. Cradley Heath were the visitors on 28th April, and above we see heat 7, our American rider Mike Faria dicing with his fellow countryman Billy Hamill. Hamill won the heat and scored a maximum, but Monarchs won the match. Photographer: Jimmy Grant. |
