AAS, RENE: Born 13/8/69, Talinin, Estonia. All-round motorcyclist and former Soviet international who was the first man from the USSR to ride regularly in the UK. Capable of excellent performances but also of very disappointing ones. He has had several spells with Sheffield, also Bradford, Stoke and Hull where he did very well in 2000. Spent a few matches in Monarchs' colours during 2001 but rarely showed his best form, other than an unexpected heat win at Glasgow. Dropped to make way for Dalle Andersson.
