ALLOTT, TOMMY: Born Huddersfield 1909. One of the few Monarchs who could claim to be a 1928 pioneer. Pre-war clubs were Barnsley, Sheffield, West Ham, Belle Vue, Harringay, Nottingham and Norwich, but his best days were at Sheffield in 1946-9. Joined Monarchs in 1950 at the age of 41, with moderate results. Transferred back to Sheffield in August, he promptly top scored against Monarchs. Moved to Liverpool for his last three seasons, 1951-3.
